Stamp Out Hunger in Greenwich
Now offering an online donation option!
Buy Fresh Produce and other healthy food and it will be delivered for you!
The National Association of Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive is the outgrowth of a tradition of community service exhibited repeatedly by members of the letter carriers union over the years.
This drive is the largest annual food drive in the country. Last year it raised over 70 million pounds of food to help restock food banks, pantries and shelters around the country. Since it began, it has raised over 1 Billion pounds of food.
This year, we've added a new way to help. We're making it possible to donate fresh produce - things like fresh fruits and vegetables and other food items. Many people who struggle with hunger also struggle with poor health. A big reason for this is lack of access to fresh produce. Now people can donate fresh produce and other healthy food.
You can help us support Neighbor to Neighbor with a healthy food donation!
Each month, Neighbor to Neighbor provides enough free food to prepare over 25,000 nutritious meals for needy families in Greenwich.
Neighbor to Neighbor gave out 313,000 meals last year!
129,000 of those meals went to children.
40% of the food is donated by individuals and via organized food drives
All fresh produce is supplied by Baldor!
It's easy to help out! Pick out and purchase the food you would like to donate here at this website. After the drive is over, the food you have donated will be delivered for you. You'll receive a tax receipt for your donation via email.
Please support us and our online partners Why Hunger, Wholesome Wave, Food Tank and IRN by sharing this exciting new way to help Neighbor to Neighbor support those facing hunger in the Greenwich area.
